MAISON OSLO is a boutique design firm that provides Creative Solutions and Styling for branding and beautiful living.

I help style beautifully balanced spaces that feel refreshingly timeless and calming. I work with what is already in the space and only bring in key pieces that create a heartfelt moment to keep costs low. Soft staging and styling usually include things like paint, artwork, lighting, pillows, decor items hardware on cabinets etc.

Based out of Eastman, Quebec, I’m centrally located to service clients from Montreal to the Eastern Townships. Let’s go virtual if you aren’t local.

I help my clients on-site or over a video call - depending on their needs. Going virtual also allows me to service clients for many of my services anywhere in North America.

Design enthusiast since I was 8, I’ve spent my last 25 years ignoring that I would end up building a career in design.

For 15+ years my world was consumed by being a business Executive in the technology space, focused on Leadership, Project Management, Customer Service and creating Organizational Efficiencies. I spent my time spinning plates and putting out fires. I loved what I did for a living, but felt like something was always missing. Everyone around me saw in me what I eventually came to appreciate. What if I could marry both worlds?

In 2022 MAISON OSLO INC. was conceived.

For now, MAISON OSLO is one woman-owned and operated. I bring in the talent or trade I need, when I need it, to help keep projects moving forward.

MAISON OSLO also allows me to give back by utilizing my experience in business, web design, customer service and organization.

My Signature Design Style

I’m more at home in an organic Scandinavian style - I tend to gravitate towards lighter more neutral tones. I love a monochromatic colour scheme, lots of texture, with accents of warm but lighter woods.

I believe design is subjective to the space you’re staging and the people who use it. I’m equally comfortable in a Scandic modern farmhouse as I am in the Mid-Century muted colours and brass - I believe the two marry well together and that’s usually where I live.

I’m known for my ability to take any space organize it, ensure it’s functional and of course see the beautiful when others don’t.

In all cases - clean lines, clutter free spaces and relaxing colour schemes speak to me.

Colours I gravitate towards: whites, creams, black, olive greens and dark navy blues.

Timeless, functional and calming.

noun

the capital of Norway - my ancestral DNA (Nordland & Oslo) - and coincidentally the name of the dog (a tiny Whippet) that lived in the house my husband Patrick and I have just downsized our lives in. A pivotal time in my life for both lifestyle and career - this new home, where I conceived and grew MAISON OSLO, has been known as the OSLO HOUSE since 2022.

Not too much, not too little, just the right amount. You don't over-indulge in anything, but you're not frugal either.

A philosophy that aims to balance, every area of everyday life. Lagom is the best-kept secret that supports a lifestyle based on social awareness, moderation and sustainability.

Achieving balance is a vital balance between work and play, or time spent together and alone.

A few elevated pieces and keeping it simple are what make up true Sophistication. Less is always more for me!

Don't get me wrong - I love to indulge and treat myself. Put me in a room with beautiful things and I will always instinctively gravitate to the most expensive piece. It's just where my eye is drawn. Quality, colour and design are what always pulls me in. As a consumer, I look for products that are well thought out - with great design.

When it comes to design, I've come to understand how to shop for things that cost less, but look expensive and are of great quality.

I feel I've truly curated a balanced lifestyle for myself. Key pieces that mean more are far more important than having 10 options both in fashion and decor. My older self would definitely share with my younger self that it was worth saving for rather than impulsively needing things.
