Boutique High-End Spaces
on a budget
Closet Solutions
We all deserve to feel the luxury of a well-dressed space.
You spend your hard-earned money on beautiful pieces of clothing. Hopefully, they make you feel like a million bucks. For many, our clothes are our identity. Why would you then want to shove them in a dark uninviting closet to be forgotten?
A closet should feel like a sanctuary where you can get ready and feel amazing—like shopping at your favourite store!
You should want to see what you have. If it’s not visible, you won’t reach for it. If you can’t reach for it, you have too much and it may be time to declutter.
Spend Less
BUY QUANTITY OVER QUALITY
Spend less on the basics, but pick pieces that are good quality. Splurge on high-end accessories that pull the outfit together and elevate your overall look.
A monochromatic look is a great way to achieve the look of quiet luxury. You’ll spend less and have a capsule wardrobe that can mix and match.
Now that you have an amazing wardrobe, let’s get it organized and looking beautiful!
GET ORGANIZED
The average person spends between 10 and 30 minutes getting ready in the morning. Why wouldn’t you want that time to be quick and easy, a great place to store and organize your great pieces, more private and easier to clean when you know where everything is because it has a home?
Tips
I love a good wooden hanger for more structured items and a velvet hanger in cream or black with gold hardware for thinner items - great space saver; your clothes won’t slide off and it looks more aesthetically pleasing. Amazon link to 30 white & gold hangers. Ikea has an equally great wooden option. Home Sense usually has these also.
Try to avoid baskets or bins for everyday items - out of sight out of mind.
Buy a steamer! This will save your life! You’ll save time and your clothes will last longer. Steam is much gentler on your clothes than a hot iron. I’ve recently found a great alternative to the standard standing steamer - made by Rowenta it’s a great combo of steamer and iron for those more pesky wrinkles. And it can blend well in your space!
HOW I WORK
-
FREE CONSULTATION
Can’t wait to hear about your project!
Let’s connect virtually or in person to discuss what needs work. It’s important to me that I truly grasp how you (and your family or pets) would like to use the space.
I’ll assess, take photos and measurements and then provide you with a quote and plan for the services I’ll perform.
Products applied will be visible as a line item in your quote so we can work to keep to your budget.
-
PLANNING & PREPARATION
If we meet virtually for the first time, I may require a second in person meeting to take final measurements.
Once you’ve agreed to the final quote and I have the measurements, and a true understanding of how you truly use the available space, I’ll prepare a plan for the project.
Using the 80/20 rule - where people roughly use 20% of what they own around 80% of the time - I’ll help you keep, toss, or donate your items.
Timing for the project will be defined based on both of our availability.
-
REVEAL DAY!
Things will get messy before they get beautiful. I highly suggest my clients leave the space for the estimated time so that I can work without interruption and then provide the big reveal.
I work efficiently and am highly organized. The goal is to be in and out in a matter of hours depending of the size of the project.
You, and your family, will be brought in for the big reveal.
I’ll walk you through how I organized, the thought process and system I put in place and let you take it all in. The system will be simple and easy to follow. Small tweaks can of course be made post reveal.
Pricing
Generally speaking, the true cost of the organization is the containers used to contain the items. I try and keep costs as low as possible and of course, try and reuse items you may already have.
I charge an hourly rate for my time, however depending on the size of the project we may look at working at a flat rate if it makes more economical sense.
