How weโll work together.
My services are simple.
1
What youโre looking for.
When we first speak youโll be asked a few questions to help me tailor the service that is the best fit for your needs, and budget.
2
Personalized suggestions.
Taking into consideration what you already have, Iโll help tailor a design that is timeless and personal to you and your space.
3
Pick the service that feels right.
Weโll get the legal stuff out of the way, take payment, and agree to a plan - and then I get to work!
No expensive designer fees, no walls need to come down, and youโll be up and running in no time.
MAISON OSLO works with homeowners, rental property managers, real estate agents or anyone who simply wants feedback on how a space is being utilized. Whether itโs your entire home, rental property, walk-in-closet, Zoom background, or just a bookcase youโve been struggling with for months - Iโll help you soft-stage it so it feels inviting, functional and timeless and represents a space you can be proud of.
How a walkthrough service at MAISON OSLO works.
-
For me to work my magic I need to get a feel for your space. Understanding how the room will be utilised, and what the purpose is for the design, will help me work quickly and stay on budget. I do this by first meeting you to discuss your project, virtually or in person.
Our first meet up can be over coffee, a virtual call, or at the space - and is FREE.
If youโre hiring me to do an official Walkthrough Service Iโll walk your property with the discerning eye of a renter, buyer, or customer. The walkthrough takes about 1 hour to complete - depending on the size of the project or property.
-
During my walkthrough visits Iโll take lots of photos and notes. My feedback will be honest - this isnโt time to sugar coat - youโre hiring me to tell it like it is.
Within 24hrs of the Walkthrough youโll receive an comprehensive e-report of my findings. The report will isolate areas requiring immediate attention and provide some key decor ideas for quick wins. Iโll may include visual mockups (Pinterest mood boards or rough sketches), recommendations and guidance.
-
MAISON OSLO is not an interior designer firm. I donโt keep an inventory of decor items in a warehouse. I work with what you have already in the space to keep cost low.
When the space doesnโt lend to the right design style or items are outdated, Iโll look to help you acquire accessories that will help pull the space together and place them in your moodboard. This is called soft-staging. Iโll focus on specific areas for dramatic impact using carefully curated items like lighting, plants, artwork, fresh linens, and small furniture pieces.
To achieve my design, I may give you some homework like painting and decluttering. Your sweat-equity will help keep costs low.
You will manage the sourcing and staging of the decorative items chosen by me for your space - while respecting your budget.
I like to support local, and will likely find your pieces at a shop in the Eastern Townships or Montreal. Always thoughtfully sustainable where possible.
You will be responsible for purchasing, delivering and assembling all ge items.
Feel free to reach back out once your staging is done to get my feedback. We can book a 1 hour staging walkthrough in the space where I will tweak areas I feel need it.
-
Within a couple of days of the walkthrough, Iโll share a mood board and report with you.
Mood boards usually take a couple of days, but we can fast-track the process depending on your timelines.
Weโll schedule check-in calls throughout the project, as needed. Each additional check-in is billed at $59/hour.
You then get to work sourcing and pulling your space together.
-
Once youโve followed my inspiration or suggestions - feel free to book another hour with me to tweak any of the design placements or choices.
"According to Forbes, a staged home sells faster and removes the price reduction discussion. Homes that are staged will sell 73% faster than the average home that isnโt viewing ready.โ
