.03 | rue de Villebois - Home Office Wallpaper

The previous homeowners turned one of the small bedrooms into a home office. It had a basic futon and a small desk that didn’t fill the space. Everything was not to scale for the room and felt uninviting.

White paint went up first. Immediately the space felt larger.

To provide storage for “office-like items” I brought in a low profile light wood sideboard console from Pottery Barn that would serve to fill the wall that would be seen in the backdrop for zoom calls.

I knew I wanted to add wallpaper to the space to make it feel more cozy, so I kept my wood colour light. I had my eye on the York Arcadia wallpaper since it played into the outdoor surroundings of the property and would serve as the focal point of the room.

I added soft white Belgian linen curtains and brass accents to elevate the space and add a relaxed sophistication. On trend but not pretentious.

The room is small but the decor now makes the room feel much larger - almost as if we gained square footage by filling the space with intentional items that complimented the homeowner and space.

A beautiful soft hand-woven wool rug warms up the room and ties the entire space together.

This is real life. Room for organization - but keeping it beautiful and sophisticated enough for a virtual business call.
