RENO & LARGER RENO SOURCING PROJECTS

​If you’re working on building your own home from the ground up or doing a major renovation you’ll be at phase 1 in your selections. This is where you’re making the difficult and long-standing decisions on tile, paint, cabinetry, flooring and hardware for your home. This step sets the foundation for the overall feel of your home and it’s so important to get it right. The goal is to create something timeless and modern, but that will not date in 1-2 years.

I’ll accompany you to the stores of your choice, or recommend my favs, where we’ll grab sample materials and finishes and work with your floor plan to know if certain key elements will fit in your new space.

My time starts when we arrive at the first meeting place and continues to a maximum of 6 hours.

During the day together, we'll answer any design questions you have and help put together a well-designed mood board.

As with all of my services, you can also choose to hire me to come in and stage your space once you have your decor items.

SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZE PROJECTS & STAGING

If your renos are done and are now on to styling your space or are just looking to source items for a particular space, then you’re in phase 2 of your process.

This step of the process is the most challenging for many. You have this great space you want to create and are unsure of how to pull it all together.

That’s where I come in. I love to shop and know all of the great affordable places to source those key pieces that might take you months to find.

I’m great at telling you when something is amazing and will be that key statement in a room and worth the price or whether it’s great but I know where you can find a dupe that will be of equal quality and look.

I can also make a great guide virtually when you are in the space and have it styled. I will advise on how things are styled or make recommendations on what should be tweaked.

HOW I WORK

  • Organic Vases

    Our first phone or video discussion is free.

    I’ll ask a series of questions to help me better understand your needs.

    It’s important to me that I truly grasp how you would like to use the space, and who will be using it.

    We’ll discuss budget and timeline.

    I will want to visit the space. Photos always alter the perspective of a space.

    I may send you my 10 minute questionnaire prior to our meet up so that we maximize our time together.

    I will take measurements onsight.

    I’ll go away and create a plan, mood boards and an overall budget.

    Once you’ve read through my proposal we’ll tweak where we need to in order to get you everything you need an want out of our working together.

  • Space Walkthrough

    DECLUTTER & ORGANIZATION

    Depending on the level of involvement you want to have, we’ll start to declutter the spaces we’ll be styling. During the decluttering process, I’ll organize like-minded items and create a functional system that you can easily maintain.

    TRADES

    If your project calls for painters, electricians or a handyman for light renos, I’ll start putting together the project plan and execute on getting these areas completed quickly. These tasks can sometimes cause delays, but I’ll ensure that the project keeps moving forward.

    DISPOSAL OF UNWANTED ITEMS

    If items are being tossed or donated I will sort that for you for a small fee. Depending on the location and municipal regulations, I may require that you take care of this bit. I generally like to donate to local organizations in need.

  • Sample Selection

    If your project requires that I help with sourcing, it’s time to shop! This is where my Designer for Day service comes in handy.

    The night before our meet-up, I’ll send you the itinerary for the allotted time booked with me.

    We’ll meet you at the first defined meeting location and we’ll take it from there.

    I’ve forged relationships with many of the amazing boutiques or stores we’ll visit.

    In order to get the full experience, I may need to secure time ahead with my sales contacts.

    You’ll be treated with the dedicated attention we all deserve. and have access to trade-only merchandise at select stores.

    This may sometimes also afford you a small discount on your purchases depending on the stores.

    I sometimes like to create a mood board for my customers to keep us on track and to use as a reference while we shop.

    If I’m sourcing all decor items, I’ll take care of everything.

    All large furniture items will be sourced by me and purchased by my customer. This helps keep costs low since I don’t add a margin.

    REVEAL DAY!

    You’ll go away, I’ll stage the space(s) and bring you back for the big reveal.

    This will be your chance to highlight decor pieces you would like to change or areas you might want to expand on.

    If you are requesting additional areas be worked on we’ll work to quickly get your project booked in. Example: we phased the project to fit your budget but now you’ve seen how amazing your space feels and you want me to keep going with other rooms.

Pricing

Affordable & Repurposed

My hourly rate for a turnkey solution will depend on your project scope and timeline. My quotes always include my travel time.

To secure your time with me, a Designers’ Time deposit is required at signing. This is generally 40% of your overall project spend.

Payment for my time can be securely charged through the Maison Oslo Boutique, wire transfer (EFT) or in person with my point of sale (POS) Square.
